Technical Assistance Program

Along with financial support, every Microloan applicant has access to ACC’s technical assistance program: business planning help, financial coaching, and guidance to prepare your application and financial projections. This assistance is hands-on, helping you clarify your business structure, refine your budget, and make your microloan work for you.

What is a microloan, and do I have to pay it back?

A microloan is a traditional principal and interest loan payment made monthly. They are referred to as "microloans" because they are smaller in size than what a traditional bank would finance. Microloans must be paid back in full over the term of the loan. It is a traditional principal and interest loan payment made monthly.

Who is eligible for an ACC microloan?

Our microloans are available to all for-profit small businesses and entrepreneurs in Arkansas and the Memphis Metropolitan area. The program is designed to support businesses that may not meet traditional bank requirements.

How much can I borrow, and what can I use it for?

Microloans range from $5,000 up to $50,000. They have many uses, including, but not limited to, start-up costs, equipment, inventory, refinance, and working capital.

What are the loan terms, interest, and prepayment options?

Microloans have a term up to 5 years with a competitive interest rate. Plus, there are no prepayment penalties, so you can pay it off early without fees.

What kind of support does ACC provide along with the loan?

ACC is proud to offer free, technical assistance throughout the loan process. We have coaches that work with you one-on-one to help you with anything from your business plan to your financial statements. We will also check in with you after the loan is closed to make sure everything is going as smoothly as possible for you and your business. Additionally, we offer credit counseling through Credit Counseling of Arkansas.
