The Arkansas Capital Corporation Elected New Board Member

The Arkansas Capital Corporation, at its quarterly board meeting today, announced the election of Mike Malone to its board of directors. Malone, president of the NWA Council, was elected to a one year term. “We are strengthening our relationship with Northwest Arkansas with the election of Mike to our board of directors and will be able to extend our economic development reach to the area through Mike,” said Rush Deacon, acting chief executive officer, Arkansas Capital Corporation. The board also announced that Dr. Tim Atkinson, president of the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority, has replaced Dr. John Ahlen as ex officio member of the Arkansas Capital Corporation board of directors. The Arkansas Capital Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Burns, senior vice president and associate general counsel, Stephens Inc., to its all-volunteer board of directors. “Kevin has worked with Arkansas Capital as an attorney for many years and always provided excellent guidance,” said C. Sam Walls, chief executive officer of Arkansas Capital Corporation. “We are thrilled he is now able to serve on our board of directors and feel he will be a great asset as we continue to grow the company.” Prior to joining Stephens Inc., Burns was in private practice with Rose Law Firm, a professional association for more than 27 years. Bruno’s Little Italy to open on Main Street in Downtown Little Rock

After over a year’s absence, Little Rock’s original Italian restaurant will re-open in downtown Little Rock on the ground floor of the Mann Lofts at 310 Main Street. The restaurant will be operated by Vince Bruno, son of the legendary founder of Bruno’s Little Italy, Jimmy Bruno, in partnership with his brother Gio Bruno. The family has a 60+ year history of serving the best Italian food in the Little Rock area, starting in the Levy neighborhood in North Little Rock, and followed by ventures on Roosevelt Road, Old Forge Drive, and Bowman Curve in Little Rock. “We are very excited to get back closer to our roots downtown,” said Gio Bruno, who will train the pie-men to toss pizzas visible through a window into the kitchen. Brother and Chef Vince Bruno commented that, “We have all the old Bruno’s recipes which we have been serving to several generations of Arkansas families and visitors alike.” Bruno’s Little Italy, which will have seating for 70 patrons inside and 30 more outside on an outdoor patio. Historically Low Interest Rates for SBA 504 Loans

The Arkansas Capital Corporation Group today announced Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loan rates are at 4.01% – the lowest 20-year, fixed-rate available since the program began in 1987. Bert King Joins Arkansas Capital Corporation

King brings a broad range of legal and financial expertise to ACCG with a background in finance. King will be replacing Jerry Adams, senior vice president of servicing and portfolio management. Adams plans to retire in the spring of 2013. “I am excited that King has joined Arkansas Capital,” said C. Sam Walls, chief executive officer, Arkansas Capital Corporation. “King’s broad banking expertise along with his specific legal knowledge of the financial industry makes him a great fit for ACCG and its lending affiliates.” King previously served as general counsel for HomeBank of Arkansas for the past 5 years. He is a 2006 Graduate of UALR’s William H. Bowen School of Law and is a member of the 2014 Class at the Barret Graduate School of Banking.
